·         *Develop Drill and Blast design criteria to support safe & optimal mine operations*

·         Assist in *Development and maintenance* of the Tasiast Ground Control Management Plan

·         *Plan & manage the design and implementation of the drilling and blasting field requirements*

·         *Conduct drilling and blasting support trials* and making recommendations on their performance

·         Assist with *continuous improvements in drilling and blast designs* while ensuring they comply with mining regulations and site standards as they relate to Mine Safety and Geotechnical Wall Control blasting.

·         *Coordinate with the Drill and Blast team to ensure maximum blasting efficiency and Geotechnical Wall Control blasting, with minimum production halting time*

·         Advice planning & operations personnel on issues relating to production drilling, blast and mine design

·         Provide technical support where electronic blasting is carried out

·         Ensure that correct procedures and standards followed in Drilling and blasting operations

·         Conduct field trials to ensure maximum productivity is achieved through the monitoring of drilling and blasting consumables

·         Provide technical information on blast vibration as it applies to Geotechnical Wall Control practices

·         Assisting in developing drill and blast budgets and forecasts as required

·         Ensure fragmentation of blast optimizes downstream processes, eg mill throughput and crushing efficiency

·         Creating and implementing protocols and procedures for specific sites in relation to blasting

Job Description

• Improving marketing and business development of all scales of clients and developing the solar portfolio
• Successfully develop a strong portfolio of projects with the team and have a clear pipeline of projects for the following year
• Must have Africa experience (this is to have a better understanding on how to make sales in an upcoming market + to understand on-ground challenges that come up + how beneficial solar can be in this environment)
• Must have solar industry experience (mandatory that the majority of this candidate’s career should have been in the solar sector)
• Must specifically have experience managing, winning/marketing, and commissioning a range of differently scaled solar projects (e.g. below 200kW till at least 5MW, if not more)
• Must have sound technical knowledge and experience with solar energy projects and Market survey
• Manage/lead the solar division and also part of the marketing team (focusing on marketing and getting orders for the solar division)
• Should have marketing/business development/sales experience relating to solar projects
• Candidate should have experience working during a start-up phase and in a medium large setup as well (this will allow him to understand and have experience in our current set up phase and also be able to grow and develop with a larger vision)
• Design projects, prepare BOQs, etc.
• Clear proposal for different NGOs and govt. should be developed which can be presented further preparing a bimonthly presentation for management
• A government proposal should be in discussion for solar farms or other larger scale projects Annual Maintenance Contracts and other additional services/add-ons should be clearly planned and included under services offered
