Designation: Manager Business Development (Solar Business)
Experience: 10+ years
· Ensure Sales and Business development of Solar Business in the Central Africa and surrounding provinces to ensure full utilization of equipment as well as to expand the company’s base of activities and market areas.
· The candidate will work jointly with the Solar Technical Manager to market and develop solar projects and with the Sales & Business Development lead in Central Africa.
· Assist the Business development team with technical details such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), SHEQ documentation, equipment records, site visits, and related documentation.
· Provide a daily drilling dashboard to Business Head/Business development summarizing production, downtime, and Red/Orange flag issues.
· Provide a delay analysis per project, machine, driller, and contribute to finding ways to eliminate/minimize delays.
· Prepare and attend weekly maintenance, operations, and supply chain meeting/conference calls.
· Billing – ensure daily activities get signed off by customers. Forecasting of income & expenditure monthly/quarterly and yearly.
· Project cost and expenditure – act as compliance and budget gate keeper on cash spend and cost charges to project by local third parties.
· Inventory / Sourcing – inventory levels scrapping activity to group standards, consumption reports.
· Market penetration through sales, marketing, contact development.
· Development and expansion of the Solar product line.
· Development of new product lines (water reticulation, Water softener plant, Solar water geyser, tanks stands, pumps)
· Secure at least 2-3 large government business tenders (with Ministries and/or Provincial governments)
· Revenue from new market areas and clients for drilling business in Kinshasa and other markets.
· Revenue from “add-on” product lines; Solar and Water Solutions particularly
· Tenders won for govt businesses
· Tenders won for NGO clients
· Presenting new business ideas
