Urgent Opening for *Senior Farm Manager* for a leading *agriculture company based in Central Africa*

 

Experience: 10+ years

 

Qualification: Diploma / Degree – Agricultural or Similar

 

·         *Candidate must have experience in maize farming (dry land and irrigated land)*

·         *Candidates with experience in large scale crop farming (10,000+ Hectares)*

·         *Operations Management of large agricultural estates*

·         *Experience with tractors, harvesters, seeders, sprayers tillage machinery and fertilizer handling equipment*

·         *Will implement strategies for maximum yield, bring farm to a bigger scale of operations, organise farm administration, work machinery and manage any associated businesses and staff*

·         *Develop, implement and manage a technical and operational farm scale-up plan*

·         *Maize Cropping - 4000 ha (dry land) - Spray, Fertilizing, Irrigation etc.*

·         Provide recommendations to the company on overall farm development

·         Plan finances and production to maintain farm progress against budget parameters

·         Capital Projects Feasibility, Planning and Implementation

·         Maintain and monitor the quality of yield

·         Ensure that farm activities comply with government regulations

·         Maintain knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them

·         Apply for funding - if appropriate.

·         Management of current, ongoing and future farm projects

·         People management

 Experience: 12+ years

 Education: BE / B. Tech. – Chemical Engg. / Metallurgy Engg.

 ·         *Candidate must have experience in metal and minerals processing unit especially copper / cobalt / zinc /lead / gold / tungsten etc*

·         *Hands on experience in Process Operation, Process Control, Process Improvement, Cost Optimization, Manpower Development, Manpower Optimization, Metal accounting etc*

·         Streamlining and Transparency in *Metal Balance and Consistency and Improvement in Copper and Cobalt recovery*

·         He must be part of or manage of lead a *complete copper and cobalt hydroxide production plant having unit operations of crushing / milling / agitation leach /tank leach/solvent extraction / electro winning /neutralization / cobalt precipitation / effluent treatment plant / tailing disposal / process water and raw water treatment/boiler*

·         Optimization of chemical consumptions and Productivity

·         Coordination with subordinate department for smooth execution of process.

·         *Annual Budget and CAPEX Plan Preparation & Spearhead Execution*

·         Training the team, Inventory control and Motivating and Training the Team.

·         KPI achievement and Cost saving from present baseline

·         Language Preference: French or Swahili is preferable

• Conducting market research on services and Product Company in.
• Designing and implementing marketing plans for company products.

• Build relations for long-term contracts with NGOs/aid organisations.
