Manager - Civil (QA/QC) (Central Africa)



Designation : Manager (QA/QC- Civil)
Job Location: Central Africa  
Experience : 15+ years
Qualification: BE / B. Tech /ME / M. Tech – Civil (Full Time only)
Age Limit: 40 years
Language Preference : French / Kiswahili
  
Key Skills Requirement:

  • Establish/enhance Quality Management System as per Project Requirement & established norms
  • Conduct (internal/external lab) sampling & testing of construction material like cement, Aggregate, Rebar, Sand, Water.
  • Knowledge/Well conversant with international standards & Codes.
  • Knowledge of following tests.

a.    Cube test for concrete quality.
b.    Sieve Analyses for Aggregate.
c.    Compaction testing.
d.    Crushing test, Impact test, Loss Angeles’s Abrasion test for concrete.
e.    Any other tests as required specifically for the work stages
  • Knowledge of Geotechnical/soil Investigation Analysis & interpretation of results
  • Review civil drawings/designs from Civil Consultant and ensure compliance at Site
  • Training of expat/national staff to execute work as per Quality Management System.
  • Knowledge of Acid Resistance Brick lining, PU paint & Screeding work will be an added advantage  

Job Description:

  • Establish/Enhance/Monitor Quality Management System for Civil Work at Site.
  • Establish/Maintain Material/Work Testing Laboratory at site as per requirement.
  • Establish/Implement mix design for concrete at site.
  • Inspection of Construction Material (Cement, Rebar, Aggregate, Sand & Bricks) at regular interval.
  • Check & Keep record of inspection/vendor’s test certificates.
  • Inform material non-conformance to Project Manager/Project Head & Procurement team.
  • Calibration of batching Plant to ensure quality of Concrete.
  • Prepare Method Statement/Procedures for various activity.
  • Inspection & Clearance/protocol for further work of following activities.
  • a.    Survey marking. 
  • b.    Marking for excavation. 
  • c.    Compaction. 
  • d.    PCC/Bliding concrete. 
  • e.    Rebar laying & Binding. 
  • f.     Shuttering 
  • g.    Concreting. 
  • h.    Curing 
  • i.      Any other activity/job to meet the job or drawings requirement 
  • j.     Hand over to mechanical/electrical team.
