Hiring for Shift Engineer – Process for a leading mining and mineral processing company based in Central Africa

 

Experience: 02+ years

 

Education : BE / B.Tech / Diploma - Chemical / Metallurgical

 

·         Candidate must have experience from large scale Smelting / Beneficiation plant / Concentrator/ Hydrometallurgical plant in base metal industry.

·         Sound Knowledge of Plant Operation of Crushing, grinding, Milling, Leaching, Electro-winning, Solvent Extraction, Mineral Beneficiation, Chemical Plants.

·         Actively contribute to safety policy and new initiatives and implement change as directed.

·         Actively promote, monitor, and enforce compliance of personnel with safe work progress.

·         Co-ordination with team.

·         Monitoring and adjusting of production process using statistical process control and analysis of processing parameters and metallurgical testing results to ensure that all requirements met.

·         Drives continuous improvement in product quality.

·         Follow up with service departments for the jobs.

·         Metal balance preparation and understanding.

·         Analysing the metallurgical performance of the plant.

·         Trouble shooting in Hydrometallurgical plant.

·         Personal development.

·         Initiative for technical training

·         Assist in maintaining and developing standard operating procedures and work instructions.

·         Developing and maintaining quality assurance systems, procedures and equipment specifications and company quality requirements.

·         Conduct training sessions pertaining the quality.

·         Initiating and/or implementing continuous improvement projects, including engineering solutions to eliminate safety and quality concerns, repetitive equipment failures, stability activities and cost reduction on critical processes to achieve the company’s financial objectives.

·         Ensure all members of the team have clearly defined accountabilities, roles and individual development plans. Provide feedback on performance and conduct formal performance reviews.

·         To be a key contributor in creative problem solving and working on internal projects.
