Project Manager – Wind Energy - Central Africa

 


We are hiring a Project Manager – Wind Energy for a leading Renewable EPC company based in Central Africa

Education : Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Renewable Energy Engineering; Master’s or PMP preferred (Certifications OSHA safety, PMP, or wind-specific training advantageous)

Experience : 06+ years

Must have experience in wind project execution, site supervision, or construction; prior renewable energy experience

Develop and manage wind projects

Candidate must expertise in the Group for wind energy

Need to investigate wind energy potential across various geographies in which we are present and identify the prospective opportunities.

To survey the various sites, identify the various opportunities, carryout the feasibility study for each project site and find out the viable project to implement. Within year, it is expected that at least three sites are identified and project budgets are prepared, at least 5-10 contracts are won and engineering has started.

Site visits, survey, soil testing and Identification of high potential areas and regions for wind potential (especially across all Group company locations to start)

Begin looking at tenders in African regions in which we are present and developing proposals

Complete foundations, turbine delivery, and installation progress on budget.

All civil works (roads/foundations) finished, electrical groundwork started.

90% turbine installation complete, electrical/grid tie-in underway, pre-commissioning tests passed.

Wind turbine tech, foundations, electrical/grid systems, CAD, MS Project/Primavera

Conduct regular site visits to assess conditions, track progress, and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards

Contribute to basic layout and design work, including turbine placement, foundation details, and electrical connections, in collaboration with engineering teams

Liaise with the procurement department to define technical specifications, evaluate supplier bids, and follow up on material delivery schedules.

Supervise construction, installation, and commissioning activities, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.

Manage project documentation, including technical drawings, progress reports, and inspection records.

Support the development of risk assessments, HSE plans, and quality control protocols.

Facilitate communication between civil, electrical, and mechanical teams, ensuring smooth integration and consistent technical standards.

Identify potential delays or technical challenges and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
