Geologist - Copper Mining - Central Africa

 

Hiring for Geologist for a leading mining and mineral processing group based in Central Africa

 

Experience: 03+ years

 

Education: Bachelor Degree in Geology, earth science or related field

 

·         Must have experience from Mining industry, especially from copper or base metal exploration / drilling and mining.

·         base metal and open pit mining operations required

·         Must have Geological Software experience like Surpac, ArcGIS, Micromine, Leapfrog etc.

·         Experience with drilling, sampling and mine site geological mapping. Assessment and evaluation of Geological database and drilling

·         Exploration Geology: Interpretation of archive information, exploration planning, Geochemistry, Geological mapping, geological logging, Sampling, QAQC, cross-section preparation, geological, Database management and report preparation. Project assessment report, techno commercial evaluation of the projects

·         Strong understanding of mineral exploration technique and ore body modeling

·         Geological Surveys & Exploration, Data Analysis & Reporting, Core Sampling & Assay Interpretation, Mining Support, Environmental & Safety Compliance, Stakeholder Communication and Training & Mentorship

·         Knowledge of geological hazards and risk management strategies.

·         Data collections and interpretation reporting risk assessment

·         Language Proficiency: French / Swahili
